Clubhouse Progress to Completion
Whilst the shell of our clubhouse was built during 2009, it was great to receive the news in May 2010 that Havebury's Community Investment Fund had awarded us a grant of £4,665 to finish the inside. This enabled us to fit and insulate the ceiling, have the walls & ceiling plastered, flooring laid & a kitchen fitted with associated plumbing & electrical work. This was completed by the end of last summer and during the winter months the inside was painted and finishing touches done.

So after all this hard work, we decided to hold a grand Clubhouse opening event in April 2011 to celebrate our achievement and raise awareness of our facilities which we can all be proud of. The public were invited to come along and enjoy mini tournaments for adults and kids, cardio tennis sessions, various attractions and a barbeque. Well over 100 people joined us and had a most enjoyable time in glorious sunshine, so the Club is hoping that the interest shown will result in some new members. The Clubhouse was officially opened by Mike Watling, Chairman of Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association and the Mayor of Haverhill, Elaine McManus who also said a few words of welcome.
