About Us

The tennis club in Haverhill has been serving the town for over 80 years and has a long sporting history. In 2004 the courts which were located next to the town’s Leisure Centre in Ehringshausen Way were purchased by the Council which leased a new site to the Club nearby on the other side of the astro football pitch. This enabled us to construct four new all-weather macadam floodlit courts on our present site. The lease also provides for the use of the courts by the general public under a shared-use partnership with Haverhill Leisure Centre as part of the lease agreement.

In 2008 we were proud to have been awarded the prestigious Clubmark Award, one of the first clubs in Suffolk to do so. This is a Lawn Tennis Association backed kitemark of quality across the key areas of child protection, coaching & competition, sports equity & ethics and Club management.

Recently we completed the building of a clubhouse on our site with toilet/changing facilities and where members can relax after a game and then thanks to a grant from Havebury Housing Partnership's Community Investment Fund we were able to fit out the inside of the building. These are views of how construction of the building progressed.
